It is extremely important that we obtain as much information about your case as soon as possible. Experience has shown that without this information on hand the resolution of the case is often delayed and the professional fees are increased as well as the aggravation and stress level of the client. Furthermore, it is difficult to properly advise you as a client without all of the necessary facts. Thus, our goal is to obtain as much information as soon as possible on your case.

We ask that you contact our office to schedule an initial consultation. The initial consultation fee is $150.00. The appointment is approximately one hour. You will be requested to complete a brief intake form. If you elect to retain me, you will complete a contract which outlines our duties and our billing policies.

You will need to provide the following if you are involved in a divorce proceeding:
•  Most recent paystub
•  Most recent tax records
•  Bank account information
•  Credit card statements
•  Vehicle information
• 

Pension and retirement information

If you have children you need to think about the following:
•  Custody of the children
•  Parenting schedules
•  Child support
•  Moving restrictions
•  Children's health care
• 

Know the rules of the child custody mediation

When you are preparing for divorce, it is important for you to consider the following:
•  Division of property
•  Division of debt
•  Division of financial accounts and retirement benefits
•  Calculation of any claims for credits or reimbursements
