About Us

My law firm is devoted to the practice of Family Law. I assist my clients through all phases of their Family Law case. My goal is to understand their concerns, advise them of their rights and obligations, and resolve their issues promptly while achieving the best result possible. Often, the divorce process includes resolving child and spousal support issues and child custody disputes, dividing property and debts, and distributing retirement benefits. I represent client's who need assistance in obtaining restraining orders and emergency protective orders. At times these are related to domestic violence. I recognize my obligation to provide swift action for my clients. My efforts are focused on resolution.

I have worked as an attorney for over 20 years. I opened this family law practice in 1998 after working as an associate attorney in the areas of Civil Litigation and Family Law. My paralegal Jennifer Gunn and I have worked together for the past five years. We attempt to respond to our client's concerns, answer questions promptly and coordinate our efforts to resolve their case.

Currently, I concentrate my practice in the area of Family Law. I enjoy my work and the challenges it brings. I am in the process of expanding my practice to the area of probate law which includes the drafting of wills and trusts.

I attended Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. I obtained my law degree in 1983 and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis in 1978. There, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations.

I have enjoyed participating in community and professional organizations including the mentoring program-Student Buddy Program of Sacramento, the Mountain Valley Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, a domestic “Peace Corps” and the Sacramento Bar Association.

Welcome to my website. I invite you to explore the resources it provides and look forward to working with you in the future.
